Day 1: (Saturday): Arrival in Chennai
Overnight stay at Taj Coromandel
Arrive at the Chennai Airport. Our representative will escort you to the
hotel. After a traditional Indian welcome at the reception, check in and
relax for a while. In the evening, walk to the Marina Beach and return to
the hotel for dinner and overnight stay in Chennai
Day 2: (Sunday): Chennai
Overnight stay at Taj Coromandel
After breakfast at the hotel, go on a sightseeing tour of the city that
includes visits to Art and Bronze Gallery, Flower and Fruit market, High
court, Fort, Marina Beach, Santhome Cathedral, Fort St George, Kapaleeswarar
Temple, and Snake Park. The rest of the day is free for you to enjoy at
leisure. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay in Chennai.
Day 3: (Monday): Chennai - Mahabalipuram/ Kanchipuram

Overnight stay at Taj Coromandel
After breakfast at the hotel, leave on full day excursion to the temple
towns of Mahabalipuram and Kanchipuram. Mahabalipuram is home to the only
surviving shore temple in India. On your sightseeing tour of Mahabalipuram,
visit the ancient caves, the Shore Temple, Arjuna's Penance, and Krishna
Mandapam. At Kanchipuram, known as the town of the 1000 temples, visit
Ekambaswara, Kailasanatha, Sri Kamakshi and Varadarajaswamy Temples and
silk and textile outlets. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight
stay in Chennai.
Day 4: (Tuesday): Chennai - Bangalore
Overnight stay at Leela Palace
After breakfast at the hotel, transfer to railway station to board the train
for journey to Bangalore. On arrival in 'the city of gardens' in the afternoon,
check in at the luxury hotel, refresh and relax over lunch. Later, move
for a sightseeing tour of the city. Visit the Lal Bagh botanical garden,
Maharaja's Palace, Government buildings, technology parks, and nightclubs,
pubs and cafes. Return to the hotel for an overnight stay in Bangalore.
Day 5 (Wednesday): Bangalore - Mysore
Overnight stay at Lalitha Mahal Palace
After breakfast at the hotel, drive to Mysore (140 km from Bangalore)
on a 3-hour journey. En route, visit Srirangapatanam for sightseeing.
On arrival, check in at the hotel and relax. The rest of the day is free
for you to enjoy at leisure. Overnight stay at the hotel in Mysore.
Day 6 (Thursday): Mysore
Overnight stay at Lalitha Mahal Palace
After breakfast at the hotel, move for a sightseeing tour of Mysore. Visit
the sandalwood and jasmine markets, Mysore Palace, and Chamundeswari Temple.
The rest of the day is free for you to explore the city at leisure on
indulge in the many recreational activities offered at the

hotel. Overnight
stay in Mysore.
Day 7 (Friday) Mysore - Ooty
Overnight stay at Sullivan Court
After breakfast at the hotel, drive to Ooty hill station (145 km from Mysore)
on a 3-hour journey. On arrival, check in at the hotel, and acclimatize.
The day is free for leisure activities: family outings, treks, nature walks,
photography, shopping etc. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight
stay in Ooty.
Day 8 (Saturday): Ooty
Overnight stay at Sullivan Court
After breakfast at the hotel, proceed for a sightseeing tour of the exalting
hill station. Visit the artificial Ooty Lake created in 1825 and board
the mini-train for a guided tour around the lake and the adjoining racecourse.
Later visit Lamb's Rock (for panoramic views of the valley and the many
tea and coffee estates lining the slopes), and Kodanadu View Point (to
partake of the breathtaking beauty of plantations along the Moyar River
and the Rangasamy peak and pillar in the distance). Return to the hotel
for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 9 (Sunday): Ooty - Cochin
Overnight stay at Taj Malabar

After breakfast at the hotel, take a 6-hour drive to Cochin (245 km from
Ooty) via many coastal and backwater villages, spice and tea plantations.
On arrival, check in at the hotel and attend the Kathakali Dance performance
in the evening as you relax over dinner with family and friends. Overnight
stay at the hotel in Cochin.
Day 10 (Monday): Cochin
Overnight stay at Taj Malabar
After breakfast at the hotel, proceed for a city sightseeing tour of Cochin.
Visit Fort Cochin, St Francis Church, oldest Synagogue, Jew Town, Buildings
from the Dutch, Portuguese and English era, Chinese fishing nets, Kochi
Harbor, the splendid beaches of Vypeen Island. Later in eth evening, venture
on a sunset cruise along the famous Kochi Harbor. Return to the hotel for
dinner and overnight stay in Cochin.
Day 11 (Tuesday): Cochin - Alapuzzha - Houseboat
Overnight stay in the Private Luxury Houseboat
After breakfast at the hotel, venture on a 2-hour drive to Alapuzzha,
famous for its pristine beaches and gorgeous backwaters. On arrival in
Alapuzzha, climb aboard the traditional

houseboat and drift through the
backwaters of Kerala that are as timeless as the coconut groves and small
Kerala villages that flank them on both sides. After siesta, tea and snacks
is served as you cruise past paddy fields, duck farms, mussel divers,
Mangalam, Chithira, R-block and C block. Dinner and overnight stay in
the houseboat.
Day 12 (Wednesday): Kumarakom - Thekkady
Overnight stay at Spice Village
Breakfast aboard the houseboat as you enter Kumarakom, set of the eastern
shore of the spectacular Vembanad Lake and made of tiny islets. On arrival,
disembark and visit the bird sanctuary and the tea factory. After the
sightseeing tour of Kumarakom, leave for a 5-hour drive to Periyar National
Park, Thekkady (175 km from Kumarakom). En route, enjoy hilly countryside,
spice plantations, traditional villages, waterfalls and green meadows.
On arrival in the elephant playground set along the longest and only perennial
river in the South, check in at the hotel and relax on your overnight
stay in Periyar.
Day 13 (Thursday): Thekkady
Overnight stay at Spice Village
After breakfast at the hotel, you can explore Periyar National Park on
a boat cruise on the Periyar Lake. Later, take trek to the spice plantations
and tea estates in particular Abraham's Spice

Garden and shop at the Kumily
Market for souvenirs and curios. Return to the hotel for an overnight
stay in Periyar.
Day 14 (Friday): Thekkady - Madurai
Overnight stay at Taj Garden Retreat
After a leisurely breakfast at the hotel, leave on a 3-hour drive to Madurai
(170 km from Thekkady). On arrival, check in at the hotel, refresh, and
relax over lunch. Post lunch, visit the spectacular Meenakshi Temple and
the many stupefying temples in the complex. Later, check out the grand Tirumala
Nayak Palace, Alagar Hills and Tirupara Kundran Rock Temple, and attend
the Light and Sound Panorama show in the evening. Later in the evening,
visit the colorful bustling markets of Madurai and shop for souvenirs and
curios. Return to the hotel for overnight stay in Madurai.
Day 15: (Saturday) Madurai - Chennai
Overnight stay at Le Meridien
After breakfast, relax in the morning. Later in the day, drive to the
railway station to board the Guruvayoor Chennai Express leaving for Chennai.
After a late evening arrival, check in at the hotel, refresh, and relax
over dinner and overnight stay in Chennai.
Day 16 (Sunday): Chennai
After breakfast at the hotel, transfer to the airport to board the flight
back home or to your onward destination.
